Looking Taller and Thinner

As many people grow older they suddenly realize that they are not as tall or thin as they would have hoped to be. That doesn’t that there is a general idea for how tall or thin anyone person should be, but there are personal and private expectations that people have for themselves. Being taller and thinner does not have to mean starving oneself or taking human growth hormone. By simply altering the clothing a person wears and making different choices to what clothes they buy can drastically improve a persons look of height or weight. Here are a few of those tips.

Tips to Looking Taller and Thinner

1. Vertical Lines- Wearing vertical lines is one of the easy and most effective ways of improving the appearance of a persons height or weight. Because lines create optical illusions, wearing clothes with lines will make some people not only to appear taller but look skinnier as well. In reverse, however, wearing lines that are horizontal or straight across will create the illusion that a person is larger and shorter.

2. One Color- Wearing one color will allow a person to look taller and thinner because of the boundaries. If a person thinks about how wearing separate colors splits up the body into section, they can see how wearing separate color accentuates parts of the body instead of one uniform boundary from head to toe.

3. Black- Wearing black is an effective way to ensure that a person will look taller and thinner. Black is a color that recedes quickly so it does not expand itself like lighter colors such as red, orange, white. Due to this factor, people who wear black will appear to be leaner taller.

Looking taller and thinner is a matter of wearing vertical lines, one color, and using black hide shadows.
